The Natural Health Network offers:

    * Search for therapists, treatments, supplies, programs or support groups

    * Search of your illness against known complementary treatments

    * Overview of the complementary approaches (referenced information)

    * Forum

The aim of the Natural Health Network is to complement or enhance standard medicine in Canberra and southern NSW.  It is not intended to fight against or rubbish the health care system.  Some people choose to see naturopaths rather than GPs as their primary health care provider. Even the most alternative-inclined person, if they have a car accident or get a life-threatening infection, of course they want the treatment of a medical doctor. It is important to recognize that in many cases treatments from either side of medicine can often complement and assist each other in recovery.

People are concerned about their illnesses and how they can best improve, or prevent, them. At NHN, we recognise there are too many options in complementary treatments and too much information on the options, making it hard to compare and choose the right options.

Please note, our aim at the NHN is:

  • Not diagnosis. Diagnosis should always be left in the hands of a qualified medical practitioner.
  • Not a self-care guide. . Our aim is solely to connect consumers with providers via a business directory, and link to/provide accurate and relevant information on options.
  • Open to any plausible solution  (not just standard treatments)
  • Unbiased. NHN is independent of banner ads or endorsement of specific businesses.

**Important note:  Information gathering in progress.  More information is continually added. Also, work is being done to display information in a more standardized and relevant format.  Making complementary healthcare understandable.**
